Balenciaga clutch
This Balenciaga clutch is an iconic piece from the "The Hacker Project" collection, where Balenciaga playfully appropriates Gucci's codes with irony and boldness. It features the coated canvas with BB Monogram pattern (a reinterpretation of Gucci's GG by Balenciaga) and the famous green and red Web stripe.
The design is highlighted by the black graffiti "THIS IS NOT A GUCCI BAG", a subversive reference to Magritte's work ("This is not a pipe"), asserting Balenciaga's identity through a luxurious pastiche.
